It matters that you come home to family.
The Ormoc Villa Hotel was built on the original site of the home of Inaki A. Larrazabal, the town’s Mayor for close to two decades. Given the prominence of its founder, the Villa sits in the heart of the city…right beside the Superdome, and within a 10-minute walk to major government offices, restaurants, the port, Ormoc Doctor’s Hospital, and the St. Peter and Paul Parish church. Ormoc itself, a first class city, is the economic, commercial, entertainment and cultural hub and the crossroads for travel in Western Leyte.
Opened in 1997, the 49-room, Spanish-style structure is still run by the founder’s family, counting among her sibling properties the budget-friendly Ialodge and beachfront family resort Baybayon ni Agalon (The Boss’ Seashore).
In 2013, the hotel underwent a refurbishment of its 42 deluxe rooms, 2 deluxe suites, 4 executive suites and a luxuriously-appointed Presidential Suite even amidst the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan, demonstrating the resilience of the Ormocanon.
Fully operational two months after what is now called the strongest storm in human history, thanks to its loyal staff—who also call the Villa their home—one is welcomed with a range of choices: two spacious function rooms, the main Hacienda Ballroom, the Cuadra Coffeeshop, Agalon’s Lobby Lounge, the Caida de Aguas Poolside Bar, the Business Center and the al fresco Jardin Garden Café.
When in Ormoc, come home to the Villa Hotel and experience how it is to be treated just like family.
